Mojo Monday 266 and Baby Shower card

Hello Friends,

Wanted to play along the Mojo Monday contests for a while, so here I am...

This is a card made for a friend's daughter-in-law's baby shower.

The papers used are the Humming Bird collection from Kaiser Craft. 

Enjoyed creating this card, with a little inspiration from a friend.

Lil Bee's 'Lovely Spring' Kit

Hi Friends,

Its been a while since I sat down to blog,  been a bit busy with moving into another apartment and arranging things all over again...

Got to play with Lil Bee's 'Lovely Spring' kit in between the chaos,  loved the bright colors and the stamps by Lawn Fawn, the Flutter By collection

Started off with a layout, with a very cute photo of my boys, a scenario I can't imagine now as they are older and absolutely hate hugging each other.

I am just a beginner in the layouts, so still experimenting....

For this card I thought of experimenting with the concept of using negative space, as I had already die-cut the flourishes off the green patterned paper, I used it as the centre part of the card, with some glitter to fill the negative space.  Bordered with Washi tape,  added a rose,  more flourishes,  a cute butterfly,  and the 'you inspire me' phrase, was pleased with the results.

Liquid pearls added some sheen to the card, hope you like it.

My third project, again using the 'you inspire me' Flutter By stamp, with a different color combination, this time using the lavender paper, a rose and the flourishes gave a neat look. the background was stamped all over with the Flutter By stamp, the border too was stamped and embossed.

The triple layered butterfly looks cute....

Happy Birthday Mom

Mom's Birthday....

Wishing you a very Happy Birthday Mom...!!!! 

Every year, 1st May has been very special to our family, it is  Mom's birthday and also the day we used get our final results from school. And of course celebrations, with home made (mom-made) cakes and all the special foods....

This is my first attempt of making a layout, had an album ready from ages but couldn't fill the pages, so here I go...

Choosing the photographs was a very tough job and after a lot of contemplating, I decided on these three beautiful moments from my life.

This photo was taken in Bapatla (Andhra Pradesh), on 1st May 1993

Hello friends,

I just couldn't wait to create something the moment I got hold of this little girl 'brimming with love' from Penny Black.

These lovely hearts really stand out because of glossy accents...

The yellow buttons are hidden behind the pink ones.

I colored the little girl with copic markers, love her blush...

Finally embossed the flowers...

I was browsing the web and stumbled across many beautiful blogs and their challenges, so this is the first time I am going to try out a challenge.

Mother's Day

Mom... is someone who inspires you to do things you dream of, helps you overcome any hurdles you face and supports you when the whole world is against you, well one can go on and on....

I am very lucky to have a Mom who, in every aspect was and is the perfect Mom.

When I am with my boys, I do think about how hard it must have been for her to bring us up when we were young, when there were not many of the present day luxurious amenities,

And each day goes thanking her to have brought us up the way she did, not just on the Mother's Day.
